asome video my friend love the music i think its from Last Samurai.
to me this is one of the uglest battles we fought in ww2. this movie makes me cry for those who died that fateful day and to those who are over seas now i give thanks for your comitment in the servise of the USA forces

I don't think even the battleships could knock out some of the Japanese bunkers..from what I read they were made of thick concrete and then their was also 3 feet or more of sand piled on top. and of course the Japanese had tunnels and caves to hide in.
