This video is the work of a team of four people, two men and two women, from the village of Melandi, Rajshahi province, Bangladesh. Produced as part of a research-for-development project, implemented by the WorldFish Center and supported by the Challenge Program on Water and Food, the video relates the experience of people in the community since the introduction of the Community-based Fish Culture project in 2006.

The use of participatory video to document experiences in the community was inspired by Citizen Journalism Malaysia and Insightshare, organizations that advocate the use of video by citizens, for citizens. In Rajshahi, the four person team was chosen by the people of Melandi, and trained by Mustafa Sayeed from the NGO Proshika.

The video was entirely written and filmed by Sri Shukumar Haldar, Srimoti Shadona Rani, Sri Shambunath Haldar, Srimoti Archana Rani, of Melandi village
