Man, that was the best SNL band in the whole long history of great SNL bands. What was the brothers name on the guitar He and the bass player were just so emotional with their playing and it always transformed the music of whoever they were backing to another level. And oh so tight...Blessed!!!!

This isn't from SNL--it's David Sanborn's "Sunday Night Music" show, later called just "Night Music." That's Sanborn playing saxophone.
That was a great show--one of the best music shows ever on TV. Get a bunch of great players in the studio and have them play: What a concept!
