I played this in the Arcade a few times when I was like 10 years old. I picked Bahn and always did the super punch attack non-stop and won. I remember I got to the 2nd to last fighter and all these people started crowding around me. I got scared (I don't know why) and lost on purpose...

This was a good fighting game. I liked the approach they took with the graphics. They dropped the resolution VF2 enjoyed and instead used gourad shading and manually software implemented light sourcing. It was fun knocking peeps through the ring gates.

Well, they mixed them together in Fighters Megamix, one of the best Saturn games overall.
What I don't understand though is why they allowed Fighting Vipers to be made and yet canceled Eternal Champions...

This was actually a decent game. I remember playing it way back when on the Saturn. It definitely could have rivaled VF if Sega was competing against itself. They should have bought some of it's elements over.
