Considering all these shocking statistics, i think climate change should be high on the list of priorities. This video in it's entirety may be considered offensive by some and viewer discretion is advised. It is a controversial video and some may consider it to be political. It is a reflection of our society today and expresses how I personally feel about our planet and the surrounding environment. Most facts and figures are from Wikipedia and considered correct and accurate at the time of making vid, all MPG figures are shown in American US gallons ( 3.78 litres). The reason I made this vid is to show the people of America the damage they are creating of which they seem oblivious too. I know this because mileage ratings have not increased for decades, in fact, in the last 20 odd years mileage figures have declined and carbon emissions have increased. Working backwards in effect.

I am NOT anti American and am NOT racist by any means. I do not consider any country/continent superior however I believe America has the power, intelligence, technology and capital to perform better and invest the public taxes in more eco friendly investments. The USA needs to drastically lower it's overall emissions and as the continent with the highest number of vehicles per capita, I believe developing low emitting cars is an excellent start. We all know the technology to develop such cars existed years ago when cars were first made, but thanks to greedy governments were "accidentally on purpose" forgotten about. So now the government is very rich from excessive oil consumption profits, and now 30 odd years on we face a serious new threat - global warming. Many American brand automakers offer exceptionally fuel efficient vehicles to their European cousins, but do not offer them in the states where profits from oil consumers soar. It is the people that need to change therefore and need to recognize the efforts of others around the world. It is a global challenge on an enormous scale but is far from mission impossible. The days of power and muscle are over, I am no longer impressed with MPH but MPG, the same rule still applies which is: the higher the figure, the better! Together we can do this.

Just to prove the greed of the government, fuel in Venezuela is 11 cents a gallon, but is $18.43 a gallon in Sierra Leone!

  • I agree with everything you said in this video except that motorist are responsible for the large consumption of oil. Truth be known it is the MILITARY that consumes the greatest amount of oil imported into america. For its massive wasteful military america uses more than 50 percent of its oil imports for the military and to produce the petrochemical formed conventional weapons. America is truly a WASTE LAND.

  • Im american and i am sure everything you said is true all though i was concerned when you called a hummer a muscle car and then pit it against a different vehicle with a completely different purpose but thats my feedback thx for listening

  • @throttlejockey77 Yeah, they are called "muscle" cars. That means that they are stronger, not faster. Plus, I've seen quite a few races that would prove you wrong. Our vehicles are built for our types of roads, and the Euro cars are built for your type of roads. I'm sure you've never been to the U.S., but you are just agreeing with what you see on t.v. You are the true retard. I've seen an American car drag one of your cars, because it's a "muscle" car.

  • @D41H4T5U eh pretty much. been fun buddy.

  • @ZealotsACH Yea waffling now, are you bored yet? Because i sure am...

  • @D41H4T5U im going to assume you didnt see my other post? i said UK and western europe isnt a bad area. "...and actually yes, i have been to many countries during my military service. sure, UK, western europe isnt a bad area,..." and i never once stated i "own the world" nor did i say my country has a rich, long history. i am completely aware we are a young country. but we are also the most powerful and influential country. so believe what u want, u cant change the things ive experienced.

  • @ZealotsACH No thanks, i'm happy in my job and my country. And don't compare the UK to places of political conflict. Honestly, there are places on this continent that have 7000+ years of History, do you know how arrogant it sounds when somebody from a "young" country starts pretending they own the entire World? And besides, you're going off topic now...

  • @D41H4T5U ha your insults are getting lazy. i have been to 11 countries. seen a lot of fucked up shit. seen people send children strapped with bombs and guns to do their dirty work for them. people trying to blow me and my friends up because us "stupid americans" defend the basic human rights that are oppressed in many countries. calling me clueless is ignorant on your part. i spent 6 years cleaning up other countries bullshit. spend some time in the military, travel across the world, then talk.

  • @ZealotsACH You are utterly clueless.

  • @D41H4T5U and yes, cable tv and clean tap water is the high life compared to what i have seen. so really i have nothing left to say to u. u will blindly hate me because im american. but when anopther country invades yours, we'll still have ur back buddy.
