Rearranged for play on my acoustic guitar and a bit simplified, I present the first solo from Metallica's Master of Puppets. This interlude from the normally driving riffs of Master, has always been one of my favorite parts of the whole Master of Puppets album. As such, I felt inspired to make it work on my acoustic guitar. To make it sound a bit more full, there's actually two guitar tracks layered together in my rendition. As always, it isn't perfect, but I had fun making it.

Hope someone enjoys watching it!

  • In this solo video there is not only one person playing there are two

  • @101prasanna - As pointed out in the video's description, I layered 2 tracks together to make things sound a bit more "full."

  • Ok, i just learned this by watching your video and playing by hearing..

Thank you so much dude... really thanks for this

  • @TJChagas - Awesome man! It's always great to hear that my videos have helped people out :-)

  • hey man what strings did you put on that guitar? it sounds absolutely amazing.

  • @kidodahood - Thanks for the feedback :-)

As for the strings, I switch back-and-forth between Elixir Polyweb and Nanoweb strings usually the 0.12 variety. Unfortunately, I can't quite say which ones I was using in this particular video.

  • YOU. ARE. AMAZING.

  • haslo pero como se toca en guitarra electrica

  • not ok but ...?

  • Ppl it's easy.. Imagine this, the octave of 12th fret on all the strings are 0, so if you play the intro on electric guitar it would be B:17 e:19 e: 15 B: 17 and so on. so if you play it on acoustic the octaves would be B:5 e: 7 e: 3 B: 5 and so on.

  • i never seen a masterbilt with a gloss finish?

  • SO GOOD

  • whats epiphone masterbilt is that ??
