Bosko and Honey arrived in Melbourne for the uke fest only to discover that Honey's custom uke had been damaged in transit. Honey (real name Yukie) was very distressed. She said she hadn't realized how attached she had become to her uke which was now unplayable with a broken neck.
Bosko (Daniel) asked Tony Leonard if he had a spare uke for Honey to use for the remainder of the fest. Instead, Tony got his luthier to fix the uke in less than 24 hours. It was a brilliant repair. Honey was ecstatic and very happy!
Thinking of Honey's distress, Tony and Remco wrote a tune together for Yukie and they performed it for her at the festival. They called the tune 'Yukie's Waltz'.
beautiful tribute ..........

This video shows how a horror story can lead to something pretty in the end. Thanks for uploading this fine musical memory, TC.

Thank you very much T. I Knew about the story of Honey's uke sad adventure this morning via Bosko and Honey facebook page... and now I discover Tony and Remco playing together. Bravo for the happy ending with the uke. Yukie had this wonderful Da Silva signature model when she was home with Bosko during Safari 2008. You had beautiful moments at the MUF. Congratulations to all of you.
