  • Wow this brings back memories! This is still my favorite feud. Those guys went at it. I always thought WCW dropped the ball years later by not having them feud again. I know they were at different stages in their careers at that point but put them in a street fight at the Omni and it still would of been a draw. Also does anyone remember when they joined forces to take on the Road Warriors at an Omni card? I wanted to see that match so bad!!!

  • one of his better mic jobs...short and sweet.

  • Tommy Rich is a bit of a jerk in real life. In 1988 (when I was 11) I saw him wrestle in person and tried to talk to him but he kept throwing me off for my older girl cousin. *rolls eyes*

  • The Brawl fight is from Sept''/Oct'' '82. They edited out alot of this Brawl. The story

was that SAWYER jumped RICH when he was working on his car on a side road,

and RICH show up at the Arena in the locker room area to get back at SAWYER

just as the cameras started rolling. This is made WRESTLING-WRESTLING.

  • > National Heavyweight Title Match: Mr. Wrestling #2 (01) over Larry Zbyszko* to win the title > National Television Title

Match: Ron Garvin over the Iron Sheik* by disqualification / Notes: It was reported that 4,000 were in attendance for this card. Brooks and

Mr. Wrestling #1 were the special referees for the Zbyszko-Wrestling #2 match. Ellering managed Sawyer, the Sheik, and the Warriors.
