@LightningDemon I agree, that was a challenge. Beating that game the old school way is cool.

@smashlover9 that’s how i ended up winning but no doubt is he the toughest son of a bitch...

The mini scythes remind me of tilt to live :|

@AstralAstaroth That makes me feel good about myself because the Death on SNES took me like 5 tries but the Death on Castlevania 1 took me over 2 hours because of that stupid hallway on the way to him.. plus he’s unpredictable as fuck in the first of one.

I have. Came up ready with tons of hearts and just Crossed the sickles to submission.

IF you've never played the original Castlevania for NES/Arcade, then you haven't played against the hardest Death (in my opinion). That Death is such a nightmare! It took me a very long time to beat him! Of course, with an emulator and save states, he is nothing now, but back then... WHEW!

@AstralAstaroth HoD Death's first form is actually reasonably difficult.
Believe it or not, the Death I find hardest is in Castlevania 4, because the scythes fly faster than hell. The easiest is SoTN Death with the Holy Sword, followed by (obviously) HoD Death.

You mean CV4 on SNES? Well, it's hard, but once you get that you just need to strike upwards and not remove the whip after this, then the scythes become harmless.
