  • Ralfy, I've got pair of Italian crystal handmade glasses for grappa for a very good price and using them for enjoying whisky. What do you think about their shape? In the broshure they state, that each form of glass will bring different notes on nose. What do you know about it?

  • @moristar1101

if it is a proportioned concave glass then it should work fine !

  • I'm primarily a spirits newbie here: Is the glencairn the choice glass for all whiskeys?

  • @NietSUPTG

It is very effective compared to many for smelling.

  • Hey ralfy, I have a whisky request: I think it would be interesting if you did a series of episodes on your favorite "ralfy recommended" Japanese whiskies. It would be interesting to take a small break from scotch and see your thoughts on great japanese whiskys to look out for (peated and un-peated). Just a thought. Keep up the fantastic work! :-)

  • @BrothuhV84

... Japanese whisky reviews later this year !

  • The music does matter. It has to be Bob Dylan ;-)

  • This guy is brilliant..a true gem on youtube...great video!

  • "You wouldn't want to buy a fake scotch whisky, why buy a fake scotch whisky glass!" lmao!! Great vid as ever Prof. Ralfy!

  • The best water for my single malt is purified and boiled. It has a neutral taste and practical no trace of any chlorine or fluoride.

I dont have natural springs around as I stay in the heart of a buzzing IT city!!!

  • @gummybearkiller1 thing with rain water is that it isn't often safe especially near cities it can contain a lot of local air pollution. Mountain / spring water is cleaned by layers of earth.

  • Further more you can find some distillery spring water in more fancy whisky shops but It can reach crazy prices (for little bottle of water) and is definitely one step closer towards snobbery.
