if both (or all) VMs send something to the sound channel... will it be merged together on the speaker?

technically nice - but it can be confusing if alert sounds from one VM interfere with using the currently visible VM. But I suppose this is a usabiltiy problem that cannot be solved.

Just add custom sounds to each VM.

Very nice BTW, Citrix rocks the boat again.  Kudos
