I finally figured out how to straighten my natural hair using my F.H.I. flat iron. The trick is using a fine tooth comb to help get smooth ends. I "big chopped" at the beginning of May and have straightened my hair twice since then. My curl pattern is still alive and well ;). I deep conditioned the night before and washed the day of. I also did a little trim on the ends.

  • such a cutie you are :)

  • @MaroonStorm Awww thanks *blushes*

  • ARE YOU CRAZY??? 400 degrees will do worse than burn your hair!

  • @simskat I only use the iron 1x every other month with heat protectant. I've watched other videos where people are using a lower temp but then go over each section several times to get the look they want. I only have to do one pass with this iron which is better in my opinion. Also, the plates are tourmaline/ceramic which creates more negative ions than ceramic alone. Still, it's heat so I add protein treatments and moisture dc's to my regimen to compensate. Thanks for watching! :)

  • Thanks for sharing. I was concerned as I just got a blow out, trim ends and color today. My hair look beautiful, just want to make sure I'm not disturbing the curl pattern and can go back. You are a testament to that. Your hair is adorable.

  • @51years Awww thanks!

  • @tsotsoko This has been up for a couple of years and has helped quite a few people. If it's real time video that you want check out my other video on flat ironing or use the search box. There's plenty of tutorials on flat ironing natural hair here on YouTube.
