John Cazale (1935-1978)

This was a touching tribute to a remarkable actor. Although Cazale's acting career was relatively short, he appeared in perhaps the best films of the '70's--Godfathers I and II, The Conversation, Dog Day Afternoon, and The Deer Hunter. God bless you, John!

When they found out Cazale had brain cancer, they talked of replacing him in DH- Streep and DiNiro threatened to walk out, so they used him and shot all his scenes first in that movie

he had bone cancer.
