That's wonderful. I am glad that you had a good experience with them. When I was with the Old Catholics in The Hague NL, I had an interesting experience of being in a 600 yo Old Catholic church where a mixed race married gay couple was having their child of a third race baptized... and the cotton haired old ladies were there giving the child their blessings. I love Catholic... the Roman variety can go pound dirt though.

Your conversation is right-on about love, hate, the flip sides of each other... you always have to ask yourself, when you have a negative reaction to someone or something, is, what is it in me that creates that reaction?
