Testing Argent Data's Radio Shield for the Arduino µC. This shield is a radio modem that is capable of sending out AX.25 packets over the air. I use the Arduino IDE to upload a simple sketch to the µC. The µC communicates over serial to the shield, which is connected to the mic and speaker ports of my Yaesu 2-meter handheld radio. In this early test, the shield sends out a simple morse code greeting over the air, which is heard by the little grey Alinco DJ-C5 radio by its side.
