Sonic Adventure 2 - Out of Bounds (Hero Chao Garden)

How to escape the boundaries of the Hero Chao Garden in Sonic Adventure 2. To do it, simply go to the sloped surface to the left of the entrance to the garden, and angle Sonic so that he starts sliding. Do not move him at all. When he gets close to the seam at the end of the platform, hold X to charge up a spin dash. This will cause him to fall into a gap between "out of bounds" and "in bounds". Now, while still holding X, press A, and he'll shoot out of bounds. Going into the entrance to the garden from out of bounds will result in you being stuck in there. The only way to exit is to pause the game and select "Exit". Note that this only works in the Dreamcast version of the game, due to the fact that you use the spindash, a move that was not able to be done in the Chao Gardens in the Gamecube version.

this is possible in the gamecube version, but a different technique is used. You can also do it in the other two gardens, with tails, knuckles, and rouge in the dark garden, but only with sonic and shadow in the hero/neutral garden. I'm talking about the gamecube version still.
