In the remote hills running along the Thai-Lao border live the Malabri. They make temporary bamboo dwellings covered with banana leaves that turn yellow as time passes. Maintaining a hunter-gatherer way of life, the Malabri are a matrilineal society with rare traditions like serial monogamy.

  • It says she MAY change mates. Maybe, if he still loves her and contributes the the family's well-being, she'll stay...

  • Thank you for uploading the video. My father once told me about this tribe. The only part I don't like is the women change mate every five years.
