Simply put, Forrest Gump is about miracles, love, and hope. That feather is a sign of Love and The Promise of Hope from Heaven. Forrest understood that like no one else in the movie. "The haughty/wise shall be made foolish -- the humble/simple shall be exalted."

The scene in Forrest Gump, at the Reflecting Pool in front of the Lincoln Memorial in DC, was one of the best scenes from any movie- - ever. This tune has always reminded me of Christmas (for some reason or another). A great tune to reflect on the decade of the 1960s.

@blazepeterblaze1994 I don't think so... Wars are unbelievably stupid things. There is no reason good enough that justifies going to another country to kill lots of people.
Defending yourself when attacked, is one thing; it's survival. But it wouldn't be necessary to do that if no one had started the killing.
