I'd prefer Jews to fight for environmental issues than be involved in supporting Israel's destruction via J Street. Take a look at all the Arab donors to know what type of organization you are joining. If you support J Street it'll be any day now when some Holocaust denying speaker talks to you and your dead relatives curse you from the beyond.

@beverlystein you go girl! lol you are brave with those comments! when i was in college, i used to say jews get picked on by zionist jews who did not agree with their point of view on the israel palestine conflict and often called them misguided jews or self hating jews. you stay strong and voice your opinion!

@evarozy Also, I don't know what you mean by "misguided" Jew. You haven't explained it well. Why am I a misguided Jew for criticizing Israel? Can't I point out the truth when I see it? Your argument seems really choppy, and I think you should just say what you mean instead of throwing around the word "misguided" and "self-hating."

@evarozy ...I think I understand where you might be coming from. And I don't mean this to be patronizing. I hate it when liberals criticize only Israel (because that's what's fashionable) all while dismissing the Palestinians' (PLO, Hamas, etc.) outrageous human rights violations, and such atrocities that you have mentioned, as less pressing.  However, I like to be consistent, and criticize all violations of human rights. I like to think this is reasonable, and I would hope most people agree.

And I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here, so I'll assume that your not trying to set up some sort of ridiculous false choice between addressing human rights concerns in those countries and addressing them in Israel. Perhaps you have assumed that I am just another Israel-bashing liberal just because I criticize human rights violations that are pretty much undeniably true--if you consider yourself a sentient being.(cont)

@beverlystein If you are so concerned about human rights and violations of human rights you may want to study what is going on in Iran, Yemen, North Korea, Egypt, Liberia, Nigeria, Sudan, Pakistan and China just to name a few. Women, Gays and minorities have no rights. In the Muslim countries FGM (female circumcision) is still practiced.

Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. The Israeli Arabs have a very high standard of living. You are one of the misguided Jews.

@evarozy I am a supporter of Israel and accept that it has a right to exist (but no longer recklessly expand). However, "speaking against the State of Israel" (by which I assume you mean making even the slightest criticism of Israel's numerous and undeniable violations of human rights) does not mean hurting fellow Jews or Israel. If we are not critical of our state's actions, we risk it committing the same atrocities that Jews have suffered for centuries.

Mr Levy is a misguided Jew. He and his organization is getting big lot of money from George Soros to speak against the State of Israel. Mr Soros is against the existance of the State of Israel( a self hating Jew). This is a very sad story of a bunch of young misguided Jews doing everything possible to hurt their fellow Jews and Israel.
