This is just a piece I put together that shows how KICKPICS got started, what we've experienced over the last decade and where we are going. Thank you all for being part of our journey!
I just received an email from someone asking why at 1:10 into the video there were some non-martial arts photos. The first picture is of me with my Mom, the 2nd is me and my brother with my Dad and the last is a pic of my Mom and my Grandma. In 2005, I lost my Mom. My Mom was my life and I loved her with all my heart. I was lucky because I had two Mom - my Grandma. And of course..an awesome Dad. When my Mom died....my world was rocked. A year later, my Dad died. A month later, my Grandma
My world as I knew it was turned upside down. After month of depression and crying, I walked away from my 11-year career as a Mortgage Broker and decided that life was too short and chose to make KICKPICS my career. So I felt it was appropriate to include that in my journey.
I had to come back here and take a peak and just remind myself. Sometimes life can throw some ugly things and people at you. Sometimes life throws some ugly things and people in your path. But if you remain focused, stay strong and remember that it was all YOUR hard work and dedication that got you were you are today........you'll steam-roll right over them. I know deep in my heart that there are a ton of people out there got my back....and it's those people that fuel my momentum!
