General Dynamics United Kingdom (GDUK) has signed a contract with the British Ministry of Defence (MOD) to demonstrate the ASCOD Specialist Vehicle (SV) for the British Army's Future Rapid Effects System (FRES). This detailed presentation outlines the various features and systems of the ASCOD SV Scout armed with 40mm CTA cannon and other potential variants. The demonstration phase will see the development of seven prototypes for the Scout reconnaissance vehicle and supporting variants built on the ASCOD SV Common Base Platform (CBP), as well as providing associated training equipment.
@Ag3nt0fCha0s It can handle 42 tonnes, the vehicle weighs about 25, that's alot of potential growth if you ask me. This was designed in Austria, GD are only manufacturing it.

I know it's old and that but I still prefer CVR(T)

4 tonnes is nowhere near enough for growth.
Those tracks look slightly too thin.
40MM? NICE!
I'd like to know more about those hard kill capabilities.
Frankly I'm not sure how much of this I trust, given that (if I remember correctly) GD also makes the bloody awful Stryker.
