The reason she sings Touch My Body is as a joke. Don't look into it that deeply. I don't think Aretha Franklin is losing track of where she is in a song. Her Mandela day performance was on key, as was her July 4th performances on TV. Her Radio City Music Hall concert was amazing from the audio bits i've heard of it, and all of her concerts get stellar reviews.

I was at the DC show last year (the 1st and best one posted on youtube) and she did the whole song. I think the clips are just short, but the audience gets real kick out of it.

Has anyone noticed in the last few years or so Aretha's mind seems to wonder off more often. Not putting her down but I've seen Aretha in concert 14 times since 1995. 4 of those times have been in the last two years, and she always seems to lose track of where she's at while singing a song. Almost like she's not even paying attention.

What the real problem is, that Aretha has what I call once and a life time GREAT performances. The first time around she performs a song thats not hers, people love it. And Aretha know's it, then she keeps going with it over and over again. But it's all those times after the first time she sings it aren't as great as the first time like Nessun Dorma. But with this song it's kinda silly that she keeps doing it and won't even SING THE WHOLE SONG ALL THE WAY THROUGH OR EVEN ALL OF THE WORDS.
