I was and still am one of the memebers of the MNCult! I saw him in a small club near San Francisco in the 70's. I fell head over heels in love with him as I fell in love with his music a few year before. Thank you YouTubers for this wonderful way to be in his special company again.....

Micky wrote a song that our band (The Sound Investment) recorded and released in around 1967 on Laurie records called Come Back Baby. It reached number one on the Houston charts. It is posted here on YouTube. It was an honor for us to have recorded a song by one of the true great song writers of our time.

In the 80's I was told I would have made it if I met mickey newbury I met him and I am bettr for it In a small office in Nashville one sunny day he came to visit David Frizzell i worked for him at the time
he became a hero of mine thank you for bringing back memorys even though i never made it Kelly O'Dell
