In 1993, Ray Benson and Asleep at the Wheel recorded and released a tribute album to Western Swing icon Bob Wills entitled "Tribute to the Music of Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys" on Capitol Nashville Records. The album is a collaboration with guest artists such as Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, George Strait, Suzy Bogguss, Huey Lewis and Lyle Lovett, among a long list. The acclaimed album features 18 of Wills' best and make for a great tribute recording. The album won the 1994 Grammy for Best Recording Package and was nominated for Best Country Album.
The promotional music video features condensed versions of two of the songs from the album: "Old Fashioned Love" with Suzy Bogguss and "Blues for Dixie" with Lyle Lovett.

I used to go see the House Band in Toluca Lake California in the 70's, of Juice Newton and Asleep at the Wheel. Would love to have seen Suzy with them as now.

oh, you mean country "haints", lol !! u need to listen to a couple of old Brother Dave Gardner albums to fully appreciate the term haha.
this is a cool vid, Rob. Suzy and Ray's vocal is so smooth and Lyle is a trip with that suit and hat, luv it!
