LDS temple in Seoul, South Korea

I love the way you walk up the street and turn the corner and Bam! There's the temple! (There is a sign, in Korean and English, out on the main street, so hopefully that helps people find it!)

We ran into Sister 정수진 outside the temple. She'd been a stake missionary in 광주 when I was a greenie, and still remembered me! She was serving a mission in Seoul.

They used to have the KMTC at the temple and neighboring church building, but they stopped that recently and now the Korean missionaries just go to the Provo MTC. I guess it turned out to be actually cheaper to do it that way, or something.

When did you make this video? It reminds me of both the Chocago temple (architecture) and Manhattan temple (being in the middle of the big city, you turn a corner and there it is). No barbed wire in Manhattan, though!

It is a lot like the Chicago temple! On the outside, anyway. It was July 1997.

I visited this temple in August 2009. I had a hard time fining it, but when I finally made there, I was disappointed that they did not have a visitor's center, because I brought my old dad, and was looking forward to show him around. But, I am glad that they have this temple in Korea!
