George performed this as the second encore in his solo recital for the 18th Annual Music Festival Walnut Hill on August 12, 2009. The Festival is organized by Foundation for Chinese Performing Arts.

George has had a great success in his recital concert. The Keiter Center was filled with warm hearted music lovers - teachers and friends, and they gave George a great encouragement.

We are extremely grateful to George's Piano Teacher Ms. Byun, George's music mentor Maestro Churchill, George's guardian angel Ms. Cathy Chen, Piano Department Chair Ms. Roth, Chamber Music coach Ms. Blustein, Music Theory Chair Mr. Larry Bell, Conductor Maestro Zander, Piano Seminar Teacher Mr. Rivera, and all the great teachers in the Prep School of New England Conservatory.

We would also like to thank Mrs. Dorothy Shi and Mr. Chengzong Yin, who have built a strong solid piano foundation for George.

We would like to express our deepest appreciation to George's Mother-Music-School -- The Prep School of NEC, where he acquires all his music knowledge and where he received careful nurture toward a young piano artist.

We thank all of those who attended the concert - your appearance has been the great honor of the Li family!

    Congratulations, George!

    Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Bravo!!!

  • this is exactely how liszt would agree to! 100 % and *********************stars

    blessings and take care! KRISTIN

  • such complete mastery of the instrument, and such complete and natural freedom in his expression

  • This piece requires three feet. Pianists will know what I mean. The sostenuto pedal came in some years after Liszt wrote this but he later saw the benefit of using it in this piece which, unfortunately, means sacrificing the use of the una corda pedal (unless the pianist has octapodic feet *chuckles*)

  • @kobuskoffiedik

A Hamburg Steinway grand piano model B, C or D is not overrated. It is the best in the world. BUT it needs to be new or recent, in perfect order, properly maintained and expertly prepared and tuned! imho
