Comedian Jim Germano gets a little serious in this part as we get to the nitty gritty of soap making. We weigh and melt the oils and add the lye solution, all the while the dog is barking and the parrot is doing his best to get the dog to stop. You get an explanation of what soap is and where it actually comes from and some tips on temperatures to use and mixing, what the purpose of palm oil and coconut is and which is better to use in a soap recipe. • @odonnan i dont know

  • @ZigguratOfEnki Stainless steal is good. The metals you cannot use are copper, aluminum, tin, etc.

  • I was under the impression that you do not use a metal mixing bucket/pot because the lye will damage the metal and disolved metal ends up in the actual soap.
