problem with britain is it does not really produce anything worth exporting or buying unlike germany with its great car industry or japan with it's electronics.

it is also an extremely wasteful country throwing away its money on public sector workers sectors,various dubious benefits and its stupid involvement in foreign wars.

ADd to this , BP's troubles with Deep Water Horizon,,which will never ever go away..the Entire Gulf Coast will need subsistance payments for lost wages. The Gulf is a entire dead zone, which will take 10 yrs to complete its death process. BP will go BK = lost retirement funds for K's across UK.

We all know these `wars` were about the protection, secuirty and `legitimate` access and control of much in demand and finite oil and gas reserves in the Persian Gulf and the Caspian Basin! Neither of such actions would have legally permisble with out that `cataclsmic event, like a new Pearl Harbour`! Further, the protection of the US Dollar as the GRC which Iraq`s Sh threatened just as Libyia`s MG was in his oil rich nation!
