Brazilian music is in constant evolution and thus new rythms are being created all the time.
Kaoma and Carrapicho played rythms from northern Brazil: the Lambada rythm played by Kaoma comes from the state of Pará, and the rythm played by Carrapicho is a mix of Forró and Boi Bumbá, which comes from the state of Amazonas.
Nowadays, a well appreciated rythm in northern Brazil is Tecnobrega (AKA Techno Brega), born in Pará:
