Fly A Kite is a brief document of friendship groups in high school; what they are, why they exist, how they impact individuals and where they end up.
This is the first part of the four-part documentary, in which four questions are explored: 'What is a group?', 'Why are groups such a prominent part of high school?', 'What makes a group work?' and 'How do you work out who is in a group and who is not?'
This part includes:
'Boston', written by Augustana, performed by Tom Fay.

'Piano Sonata No. 1 in G# Minor'

The title is inspired by four things. Firstly, 'Fly A Kite', comes from the metaphor, most notably seen in Peanuts, of the ups and downs of life. As with the cartoon, Charlie Brown's kite often gets stuck in a tree, caught in snowfall or becomes victim to some other fate. But sometimes, he gets it to fly just right. 'Fly a kite' is also a political term in which a politician will raise an issue with the media which can then be denied or supported by the individual's party. Further more, 'go fly a kite' is also a common phrase, though slightly more crude. Finally, at the time of filming, kite-flying was a significant event for the group.
This is my first attempt at a documentary. It was filmed in a short period of time, given the difficulties of distance and other priorities. I think it is sufficient for a first attempt. Apologies for the low quality.
