The robot starts one space above the red X facing upward; you can see the icon has a little face on it. The turn commands swivel him, the forward/backward commands slide him in the direction he's facing, and the pickup/drop commands gather and deliver the items. The black squares are passageways and the blue blocks are obstacles. The goal is to gather the red, green, and purple objects and drop them off on the red X.

Oh and the green and yellow cartridges screw up the program in unique ways as well. You can read their descriptions in the video.

Using a hint charge would have shown the robot icon following my directions. Maybe I should have done that so you could see more easily what I was doing, but I was trying to beat the whole game without using any hint charges.
When I finish programming, I hit the "Go" command, and you can see the robot follow my directions exactly, at least until he hits an obstacle, in which case he puts everything back and returns to the start.
