That's why I want to buy this one instead of the DV2, well for that, and for the dual-core processor.

i got the dv5.... sometimes the "vertical bar" doesnt work... sorry for my english

I really don't have any problems with my Dv3's touchpad. Everything seems pretty responsive and sensitive. I sometimes hit the scroll part on accident.
I love my DV3!

i've heard there are some problems with the touchpad of the dv3. Can you share your experience?

About 1 week or so ago HP had some really good sales on these notebooks. I got a nice little instant rebate plus I think about 5% off because I'm attending college.
The QL-62 aren't even available on the website. RM processors are only available. <<That might be a reason why I got it a bit cheaper as well!

I just ordered one and with most of the things you got - the totoal price got up to over $700. Did you get all those options for the base price?

I recently just ordered a Dv3 on HP store. I got it for $689, which includes a simple but efficient AMD QL-62 CPU, 3 GB of RAM, 320gb HDD, Windows Vista Home 64bit, 9-cell battery, Slot-loading drive, System Recovery Disc (much better than having to manually rip Windows Recovery disc's, and Cyberlink Premium Studio.
I love how the DV3 looks and the LED screen. LED is a battery saver!

In all honesty, I would just buy it now while you can. I wouldn't wait for Windows 7.

I use a Canon HF100 camera, mounted on a monopod, with the Canon shotgun microphone attachment. Glad you like the quality! YouTube still has some HD glitches though, the framerate sputters here and there.

nice :) just got the dv3, and its awsome! love it, so slim, so silent so cool, but just a normal drive :)

Dv3550eo Entertainment also have the slot load dvd drive?

According to the HP Web site, it does. I'm curious, why wouldn't you just go to HP (dot) com and configure the dv3 and answer your own question?
