Silent Hunter 4 Intro (song/poem: On time by john Milton) {Lyrics}

This is a intro to Silent Hunter 4 Wolves of The Pacific strategy/tactical game. I loved the poem as soon as I heard it so I again hunted it down and added lyrics to the video. I hope you like it. ;)

The poem is by John Milton it is called "On Time".

It's been a good wihile since I've heard a poem of such quality as this. Sometimes I wish my poetry was better :P

Nonetheless, thank you for posting this video. I too fell in love with this poem the moment I heard it when I first played Silent Hunter IV: Wolves of the Pacific.

john milton is a english poet from before the USA was even independent. to use someone elses words...

the poem creates another idea of not beating time in a sense to live forever, but to survive. Such as in wars, and acts of human cruelty. It is a triumph over the time until you die, by surviving these events.

@M1A2Carbine The poem is about the vanity of everything on the earth, of all that we usually worry about and its about how Gods kingdom shall set us free of all of that, how we shall conquer time by surviving our time on the earth. Im not a religious person but i find the poem beautiful. But i dont think it suits the game. The poem isnt about the cruelty of war or anything related to war, its about the vanity of everything in life, money, material possessions, work, etc.

the poem and the game for me.... its like the poem discribe the submarine as that of the poem
