Why the hell this already awesome and successful movie has to be remade by Hollywood? Americans can't read, so big deal - have you heard about the dubbing (recording and replacing voices on a motion picture). That takes care of the reading part. What else is wrong with it? What a disgrace.

@roterdachs Yes, I totally agree, we do not promote foreign films enough in this country. When something has the potential for success we just remake it. Another example is the remake of "Let the Right One In" titled "Let Me In." They essentially just redid the movie but at a poorer quality. They did not truly appreciate the first film, if they had, they would not have remade it. About the synchronisation, they simply do not release movies that way in theaters in the U.S., I am not sure why.

@pazuzu126 Why You've to read subtitels? There's an English synchonisation. I've seen the German synchonisation: and it was well done.

My point is, that these remake is a pure disrespect to the Swedish poduction. They're producing a whole new movie instead of supporting the European production by publishing it in the American cinemas.

@roterdachs I agree, it is still amazing to me that they will spend millions of dollars in production and human effort essentially for the purpose of putting something into English, that's how much English-speakers dislike reading subtitles! I think it is a shame that we cannot just appreciate foreign films in this country the way everybody else in the world watches our Hollywood films.

Okay just so everyone knows, this movie will not suck. It's going to be really good. They asked David Fincher to direct this film because all of his movies are good. ALL. He has Trent Reznor back to make the soundtrack so it's that much better. Remakes may suck I admit but not this one. Trent, Atticus and David are all very talented people in their job. So stop talking crap about this movie and watch it and then talk all the crap you want. I bet you that you won't talk crap. Oh and NIN FTW!
