you take off by pulling the collective up and leaning the helicopter forward to gain speed, there should be a lever on the left side for that.

Dammit How do you take off? I am in a simulator and I have no idea how to take off. I hope they are the same, the controls seem basically similar, and the model is a Robinson R22 Beta.

The R22 is a great machine. I love it! I been flying it for a year already, I have 150 hours of flight. I recommend you also look at sobeheli.com the instructor is great and prices are very affordable.

Nice flying, I am considering heading to Florida to complete a PPLH with Ocean Helicopters, not as expensive as here in the U.K.
How many hours have you completed and what are your thoughts on the R22?
