This receiver was produced from 1952-1962. It is still considered as one of the best commercial shortwave receivers ever made. The radio pictured here works very well. It is extremely stable (stays on frequency) and selective.....a joy to listen to.

  • Beautiful radio and nice video. Keep them coming.

  • @hamrad88 Thanks for checking it out. I'll try to do some more eventually!

  • TNX FER the VID!...vry intersting set, with such wide frequency band range...and FM too ??? cool! (Do you need the LF Drawer? Have seen one F.S. Sep2010 on Ebay)

I have amazingly aquired a mint NC-200 (TNX BOB) and so have begun my facination with National !

( Interestingly: I purchased what appeared as a Homebrewed SW recver for its tubes,( $10.) which turned out to be an HRO or National in an incorrect cabinet)

You have a nice looking rig and good sound...thanks again.

  • @gregtheham Greg - thanks for stopping by and commenting. I do need the BC band tuning element and do check out E-Bay on occasion. I have purchased others on E-Bay. I will look again.

It sounds like you are off to a good start with the NC-200. National did not make any junk. They were built to last and they are a pleasure to use. Enjoy!

  • Beautiful HRO-60 receiver. I have the old original HRO, not quite as stable as yours, but they are both state of the art.

  • VE3IKU...Thanks for looking at the video and commenting...glad you like the radio.

National did know what they were doing.

The old advertisements for this and the earlier ones like yours were neat too.

Keep using it and it will last a long time.
