Robert Barto and Richard Stone inspired this "daily exercise" for baroque lute. The exercise consists of a descending/ascending diatonic scale, followed by a descending/ascending pattern of thirds (all over a C major chord in the treble), then concludes with outlining bass-note triads on C, F, C, G7, C. Good for thinking about sound production, practicing the primary chords in a given key, and finding the basses, The study is adaptable to keys other than C major used here.
