  • While I can't really quibble w/ the impatience voiced by some re the lengthy spoken intro, it occurs 2 me that, rather than bitching & moaning, the better option might B2 simply provide an alternative.

With that in mind, let's cut 2 guest conductor Nelson Nolden's entrance:

    1:44.

Or, for those on a TRULY tight schedule:

    2:00

  • lol i listened through the 2 inutes before the music starts and just before it does the video freezes...

  • shut the hell up and conduct the band. no one wants to listen to your bull shit talking

  • My middle school wind symphony at Glades Middle School is actually playing this arrangement with the director Erich Rivero our teacher. On May 25 and 26 is going to be our concert with the guest musician Ed Calle playing their at my school also so if anyone wants to come please do

  • @jediknightguy82 Yeah, that's strange, because there were enough percussionists for one person to play chimes and bells. Maybe they didn't have the mallets part.

  • Crazy.

With all the songs and pieces I've been connected to I still think for arrangement, this is the template of the best of American music. Not just classical but popular music.Someday this will be hearld as one of the great of the 20th century. Give it a beat change the attitude and you have jazz.as well.Peace

  • @LowBrass55 Odd that they do have the chimes, but no chime player. Hmmm...

  • Chimes are in the upper left hand corner of the stage, or rear stage right, just so you know.

  • Agreed, the chimes is like the icing on the cake. maybe not needed, but it sure does taste, or in this case, sound better. regardless, this was a wonderful performance!

  • Well done but unfortunate that the band did not have chimes available. These add so much to the first rendition of the theme.
