What he is saying about the Toyota Prius beeing just a fashion statement, is so true! And I have completely faith in what he is saying about cars with a hydrogen fuelcell are the future, and not batterypowered cars or hybrid fashioncars.

yeah. He is wrong. battery technology is advancing way faster than hydrogen technology. Batteries do cut it. They even make lithium titanate batteries which, when powering an electric car, can go further than a hydrogen fuel cell and recharge fully in 5 minutes from a 230 volt socket. Furthermore, it takes electricity to make hydrogen in the first place. On average, you get less than 60% of the energy out of a fuel cell that you put into making the hydrogen, compared to 95% from a battery.

you are completely missing the point, fuel cell is over battery becuz batteries, no matter how "advance" it is, will wear itself out, the FCX has a battery, but only becuz it need to store the power for a literally few seconds rather then days...

and yr doubt is about the same when people was introduced internal combustion. That said, someone is developing a rig for which you can produce hydrogen on the roof and is completely solar-powered, so i dun think there will be a problem for comsuming more power. moreover, it costs more power now doesn't meant it's for eternity =]

but hang on, u ssaid you need electricity to separate hydrogen (electrolysis of water) but where does the engergy needed to charge the batteries come from? yes thats rite- fossil fuels, which are.......running out! i do agreee with you but they could probably find a way of separating hydrogen in some way or another.

They should make Asimo Hydrogen powered. wonder how many Kilometers you would get out of a tank. think it needs to be a tad more Powerfuler so you won't get stuck driving up steep hills like that of the driving over the Great Dividing Range Via Toowoomba to get to Brisbane and these stations should be Available in Australia. We got Schell (Coles Express), BP, Caltex, Freedom Fuels etc so why can't we have Hydrogen. We even have are own Petrol and Gas
