As hard as it is pick one favorite by Sly, this is definitely it for me.
Don't be fooled by the subtlety 'cause I don't think it was easy as it sounds.

Strange vocal intonation and a beautiful Herb Alpert style bit which has a very satisfying major/minor resolution. Odd, but good single. It got a few uk airplays [in early 72?].
