Here's how you do a Pan and Scan of stills in Pinnacle's Studio Plus software. Ken Burns made the effect popular in his documentaries so most people call it the "Ken Burns" effect.

  • dude thank you very much, big help using pinnacle.simple but straight to the point, loud and clear, great job more tips..looking forward on it..you can send me.thanks,i'm using ultimate 12

  • I'll see what I can do. I was thinking of a complete a-z on how to get started editing with Studio.

  • Can you pan on videos? not just still images

  • I have not tried it so I am not sure. I'll try and see if it works.

  • Yes, you can pan and scan across video. In plug-ins, there is one called Standard RTFX (real-time effects). One of those plug-ins is called pan and scan. You can also use keyframes which is very powerful.

  • No problem. Happy to help and no, I do not work for Pinnacle. I was just experimenting what type of quality I could get on YouTube. I like the software and have been using it since version 7. If you want a good price on a Studio Plus version 10 upgrade, contact Suzan from Innovative Computer Solutions. Her email is suzan@ionsolutions.com. She's the best in the business. Check with her, if your computer is ok for Studio 10 first.
