What's wrong with my kitty?

There is a difference between seizures and dream responses.
This is just a dream response. My cat and dog both do this sometimes in their sleep.
Most likely chasing after a bird, mouse, or squirrel!
However, if your animal shakes violently and becomes unresponsive or limp afterwards, it is likely a seizure and you need to take them to a vet.

I think your kitty has nightmares, my cat has them on occasion, she'll suddenly wake up in a hiss and claw whatever she is on.

Two of my three dogs act like that when they are asleep. It just means that they are dreaming. Usually, cats & dogs have small twitches, or extremely abnormal twitches and they will make strange noises. REMEMBER: If you are worried, wake them. If they wake up and act fine, just be around him/her for about an hour. Usually it is just a dream. My puppy (she is getting quite big though) Chica will do that same thing (running in her sleep, heavy panting, yelping), and it's just a dream.

That cat looks over weight! Just like in humans, that won't help health if it be nuralogical or physical.

this is not a seizure, trust me, my cat had seven severe seizures over the course of 4 weeks, before she was properly diagnosed with epilepsy and is now on a steady course of phenolbarbitol and has had no seizures since, this seems to me to be just a case of sleeping patterns.

This is no Seizure Nor Epilepsy, its can be woken up, it has serveral sleeping nightmares, also Sleeping Disorder is one of the option to choose, Taking it to the vet is a smart option, say every bit of detail to the animal precinct 2.

after seizures, there's other neurological signs like nystagmus or ataxia... the cat seemed pretty lucid, like she just woke up from a bad dream. You can get a blood test if you like, but research more about epilepsy, usually the grand mal seizures are more fast "quivering" looking... but all seizures are different in their own way

Hahaha its dreaming of running in a field :) Its perfectlynaturall .. I do it sometimes O.O

thats just an intence dream, look up in youtube "cat seizuer" my cat has both, the differance is after a dream the cat IS responsive, after a seizure it takes about 10 min for full mobility and responsiveness, atleast in my cat its how i can tell the differance
I think your cat might be having a seizure? Take him to the vet maybe???
