"We did it...We made history..."
Recorded 12.23.93
Notice the original sets, all placed in 'Studio A' at the old Nautilus production facility outside Daytona Beach, Florida. It was an enormous cavern of offices, studios, workshops, dorms, and a theater auditorium, all built by Arthur Jones to serve the media needs of his Nautilus gym equipment business. (There was even a tank outside for his pet alligator. ) By the time we got there, the facility was largely abandoned (and the alligator gone) and much of the equipment outdated and dusty.
The new "Z TV" crew made the most of the aging equipment and went "live" in early 1993 on C-Band satellite. We generated cash for the enterprise with the help of a Home Shopping Network executive, as we sold gospel music CDs, T-shirts and Bibles over the air between videos. In 1994, after a long negotiation period, Gaylord Entertainment in Nashville purchase the net, and moved the only two remaining Z Music employees to Nashville: President Ken Yates, and me.
It's because of Steve Taylors' song "bannerman" that i started looking for these bannermen guys in football games. Now that the NFL lockout is over maybe we'll see more bannermen lifting up Christ.

This is around the time I really got into Contemporary Christian Music. I have fond memories of watching these videos in high school, on a show called Real Videos that aired on TBN.
