GBU-43/B "Mother Of All Bombs" MOAB - Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb
On 11 March 2003 Air Force tested its Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) weapon at the Eglin Air Force Base Air Armament Center's western test range, dropped from a C-130
I was lucky enough to be stationed at Eglin AFB in 1974 and assigned to the Air Force Armament Testing Lab (AFATL ) now called something else. they designed and tested a lot of the armament used in 'Nam' butterfly bombs, cluster bombs etc. I am honored to have painted a 'streaker gal' on the tail fin of the first ever Cruise missile. Damn, I miss being there in Florida!! what a neat place.
