http://www.lockergnome.com/windows/20... - Windows is a great operating system for productive environments. Having multiple monitors allows you a level of freedom to get more done across a larger space. This enables you to keep more windows open, giving you access to more data at any given time. Many users take full advantage of the taskbar, and would benefit from having it extend to each monitor rather than being completely dependent on a single monitor. Being able to access your Start menu from any screen can be a plus, especially if you want access to something specific without having to shift your line of sight. There are actually quite a few tools out there to accomplish this. Here's how to add a taskbar to multiple monitors in Windows 7.

I'm not very well versed in the technicalities of how OS's work, but I assume that since it's not built into the OS, and you're just adding on another 3rd party program to your start up, it'll slow down your system. Plus all of the programs, except one he listed, has a pro version with more bells and whistles. And the only true one he listed has bugs, and is in beta.

And, what exactly is wrong with freeware filling a gap that Microsoft did not? The free version of the program Actual Multiple Monitors does this task perfectly. Download it and see for yourself. If that still somehow doesn't resolve your problem, then flat out nothing will until Microsoft creates an equivalent... but I see no reason to wait.

What's with the low ratings for this video? One of the programs mentioned, Actual Multiple Monitors, works perfectly! It installed very easily and did exactly what I wanted it to do. I'm talking about the free version, too. It's a good program. I'm boggled by why this video would get low ratings. There is nothing wrong with using freeware to fill the gap for something that should already be on computers. The vast majority of the 'standard' programs I used are freeware. This one's no different.

Very funny, but I thought that you were going to show how is done. What I got from you is that there are softwares out there that can acomplish the taskbar extension. Did this video help in resolving the problem? Not.
