The original studio version sounds a lot better.

@JorickHorn : Not getting involved in the discussion which erupted, but just wanted to observe that the Moody Blues played with stereo quite a bit on their studio albums, and while mono is often fine for most music, they created a lot of stuff which is very interesting in headphones, or large speakers on opposite sides of the room. Interesting video, by the way!

music footage great together question excellent as with most of the music the moody blues started to throw out in mid to late 60/s and they are still kicking it out in their 60's wish all the world would here what they talk about in their music... power sound comes from powerful words and composition mono or stereo

OK. Caps? Sometimes for emphasis & often because I am a sloppy, a fact compounded by my innate laziness. See you around.

Why mono sound?
marels9000 2 years ago
That was my source recording. I never gave it much thought.
Is something wrong with that? Stereo has only one advantage I can see: directionality. With music, I prefer mono, because I don't think music should be directional.

STEREOPHONIC (like stereoscopic)gives depth unless you have only one ear
(or only on eye).

That was just the copy of the music I had. I couldn't make stereo out of mono, and it wasn't important enough to go looking for a stereo copy.
And don't treat me like an idiot. I know what stereophonic is, and it doesn't work exactly like stereoscopic, because the sound isn't focused into an image like light is. The only thing stereophonic tells you is the direction of the sound; depth is judged by the volume and fidelity of the sound.

Don't be so touchy; Really, I never intended to insult you OR ANYBODY. I merely wanted to ;point out that sterophonic sound gives depth to the perception of the music and thus, FOR ME AT LEAST, enhances my listening pleasure.
Obviously, if I like the music, I'll take mono if I can't get stereo. TO MY MIND sterophonic sound allows for MORE than merely direction but let us agree to disagree on that.Thank you for sharing your music.

Sorry, being touchy becomes kind of a habit when you've been on youtube as long as I have.
Also, if you don't want people to to be touchy, I'd recommend avoiding caps lock in the future. It doesn't come across the way you seem to think it does. When people read that, it sounds condescending.
