Rita Johnson? Her name is Rita Johnson? Not with that accent. She most likely changed it after she came to the US to hide from something. I've met property owners just like while working. There's a special place in hell for people like her.

She sounds like Zsa Zsa Gabor's poor cousin.

"Lovely" Rita -- lol.

I lived in Texas and rented an apartment in this 9 unit duplex it was owned by a cheap old man similar to this woman. In just a little over a couple of years I watched this guy screw every tenant out of their security deposit for any small insignificant reason he could come up with. He even blamed them for damage that the unit had before they moved in. So after a period of time people just trashed their places before they left because they knew he would screw them anyway. I know I did.

Question:
I was in Fort Hood, TX and rented a crappy place with a friend. We were there for 6 months before we had to deploy(we were in the Army). We had to live there up till the day we left and they couldnt do a walkthrough till we were gone(in Iraq). I took pictures before I moved in showing damage. Then I get a bill after they do their walkthrough for all the stuff I documented and they take it out of my deposit. We got like $300 back from $900. What can I do about this?

I bet she charges you for it and keeps the money, renting it out in the EXACT condition YOU left it in. *rolls eyes* been there, done that. I hate renting.

i live in a shithole, too hot and a rude couple below me, and noone gives you the time of day, i hate my landlord, l complained about the heaters making noise, she made them worse just to stick it to me and raised the rents claiming she had to to cover the cost of the work which wasn't solving the problem.
You sound like Nicolas Cage hehe

foreign landlords think that they can come into this country and do whatever the hell they want. I had a landlord from Peru and I left my apt clean and in the same condition that it was when I moved in. when I moved out he tried to keep my deposit stating that the apt was dirty and the carpet was ruined but I took pics of it and had proof that the carpet was removed and tile put in. I sued in court and won 3 times the amount of the deposit back.
