Thank You Momma....
Well I've always been a drifter, a ramblin guitar picker. Bustin out some Johnny Cash, Haggard and George Jones. Seen the bottom of the bottle, been strung out round full throttle. I know I've laid some highway clear down to the bone. And my friends all think I'm crazy, for these dreams that I keep chasing. Pickin on a six- string in the neon's shining glow. Always searching for the next rung, trying to find the big one. That makes me out in Nashville, down on music row. Never thought I'd ever see so far. Pickin on this dusty old guitar.
Thank my momma for the teaching, daddy for his preaching. And all of those that fight and die so we stay right here. For the simple things in life, like a good home and a wife. A hank Jr. CD and an ice cold glass of beer. Every night I thank the Lord above, for his everlasting love.
Its funny how this life, can cut you like a knife. Put your back against the wall and push you right into the sea. It can knock you to the ground, spin your head around. It can take you places that you thought you'd never be. But no matter where this world leaves you. Just remember what you gotta do.
Thank your momma for the teaching, daddy for his preaching. And all of those that fought and died so we can all live free. For the simple things in life, like a good home and a wife. Working hard to make your dollar and support your family. Every night I thank the lord above, for his everlasting love.
We only get this one go' round. Don't keep your head stuck in the ground. Each night give thanks o the lord above, for his everlasting love.
Very nice work...Keep it between the lines.
