Are you serious, electronic saber is the only way to tell whether have landed a final blow on your target it's way easier to tell than this.

they don't seem to have much experience but a cool style of sword play. i wonder if i can set up an informal version of this at my high school? probably wouldn't tell the fencing coach. he would flip shit.

I'm quite offended at your comment that we're only interested in "playing dressup"....I and all of my collegues have studied (and put into practice!) the manuals of Di Grassi, Alfieri, Thibault, Capo Ferro, Agrippa, just to name a few of the fencing masters of the 15th and 16th centuries. Your "fencing" didn't come around until after them, and then only at the behest of the French King....
So, who's playing dressup, here?

I have participated in SCA fencing for over 10 years..
Prior to that, I was instructed in Foil fencing by the former President of the FIE....and remain very good friends with him.
