This was installed in the late 1990's, and is probably one of the last Dovers. The front door has bumpers, and the rear door was upgraded to sensors. Listen carefully on floor 2. A very confused and pissed off employee lady thinks the elevator is broken, and when she came to look, I "accidentally" shut the door on her! She said "Who the hell!?" The front door also had issues, as it went into a mini"nudge mode" The indicator started to blink as the door simply refused to close. Did I tell you the best part? Its hole-less! With Impulse! Ha!

Technical Specs:
Brand- Dover
Type- Inground Hydraulic
Fixtures- Impulse
Speed- 100 FPM
Capacity- 2500 lbs.
Installed- 1998

This is technically an employees only elevator, since it goes to the offices, but I still rode it. Apparently, this elevator is also a closet!

  • Better than the crap you find in the 2000s Stop & Shops which I'm surrounded by.

  • @alexweb8 This Stop & Shop was built in 1998 and completed in 1999.

  • I Know That Logo, That Is The Giant Supermarkets Logo, They Own The Hagerstown MD Based "Martin's Food Market"

  • Wait if its hole-less why do the Technical Specs say inground

  • @elev8m8 Yep, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, and New Jersy. It's parent company though, Ahold, is an international supermarket operator based in Amsterdam.

  • I'm guessing Shop & Stop is an Eastern chain?

  • @Pinkergloop It's a little sarcasim ;) This technically is a public elevator, but the general public isn't invited to ride it.

  • @suzzex Then how come you were rushing because the elevator is near the registers?

  • @Pinkergloop Of course not! I would never do such a thing! :D :D :D

  • @suzzex Wait, you go into private elevators without permission? :O

  • HAHA. "Who the hell is on my elevator??"
